Far Horizons - Happy Australia Day

I've been working on these photos for some time now. I took them on a day trip to the country, 200km north of Adelaide almost a year ago. I wanted to capture the solitary vastness and stark beauty of the outback, the romance of the rural. It wasn't until I experimented with colour and texture that I began to really appreciate it all. It doesn't take much to turn every scene, every field, every tree, every horizon....into a work of art. It's so true, the more you look, the more you see, even in South Australia, the driest state in the driest country. There's a raw beauty about rural Australia which is unlike any other place on Earth.
I think these photos are a fitting tribute to, and celebration of the great land I live in, AUSTRALIA.

Happy Australia day to all my Aussie friends and contacts.

These photos and more are available as prints in my Etsy shop. To celebrate, I'm offering free shipping on these photos until end of January. See more here
