Creative Spaces - week 8

Some very unusual creative spaces this week. It appears these artist have collected very interesting pieces from around the globe. From vintage luggage and prints, to old travel posters and antique busts, these spaces have an almost tribal feel to them. They speak of foreign far-away lands, with their curious collections and unusual souvenirs.
Interestingly, this lady's studio is very much a reflection of her amazing artworks and assemblages. See them here

The owner of this studio calls himself an Artist, Writer, Adventurer and Mystagogue! See more on his flickr photostream here

Creative Spaces - week 7

This week I'm featuring 2 grand creative spaces. Both these studio/homes have soaring ceilings and a kind of other-worldliness about them. Also, their neutral palette gives them an even larger feel. Oh to live and create in such an expanse of space.......

I just love these oblong windows which accentuate the curved wall.

This home belonged to a Russian architect. See more photos here:

This studio belongs to a talented Swedish illustrator. See her work here:

Creative Spaces - week 6

This week's creative space is another sewing room. I love the bright and cheery fabrics and the way they are displayed on simple hanging rods for inspiration.
I especially like the gorgeous antique cabinet with rows of colourful cotton reels all within arms reach of the sewing machine.
So much yummy fabric for so many craft projects.

Creative Spaces - week 5

This creative space appears to be more a combination of craft room/home wares shop/living space, rather than just a regular studio – but I just had to share it with you.
I'm a big lover of shabby chic styling and rustic, earthy interiors – and this space is a beautiful example of this. From wooden floorboards to neutral fabrics and 'worn in' decor, this space exudes all the charm of a relaxed, casual, but elegant shabby chic interior.

Who wouldn't want to nestle amongst white billowy cushions, surrounded by candles, ever so pretty crockery, and a wall full of matching love hearts?
