Before and after home styling pics - my abode!

Hello lovely people!

After many years of procrastination, I decided it was time for a makeover of my lounge/dining and lobby area. With the help of a fabulous interior designer friend, I was able to transform a tired looking 80's interior into a funky, modern space complete with a conversation/library nook and to-die for custom made lounge suite. The results were well worth the wait!

Still to do.....

While the key pieces are in place, there are still a few things to acquire! A feature pendant light is required over the dining table, a floor rug is needed in the conversation/library nook, and some graphical artworks to grace the walls. I would like a large floor lamp and some glass/chrome sculptural pieces to complete the lounge room.
Finally, some objects d'art for the bookcase and perhaps a brushed steel framed mirror above the new console table (opposite the entry door). I'm sure there are still more things to add, much to the protests of my partner!!! As I keep telling him, a room without accessories is like a bride without a veil !!!

Stay tuned - I'll be adding pic updates in the not too distant future!

Diminutive objects of beauty

My favourite piece of jewellery - the ring. Small it may be, but a ring says so much! This collection of beautiful rings from Etsy are to me, miniature works of art - little sculptures that you get to wear on your fingers. How perfectly complete! From bold and edgy, to glitzy and sparkling, intricate or minimal...the range of styles is as endless as the materials used by today's artisans. As for my style preferences when choosing a ring? I don't have any. If it fits on my finger, I want it! Below are some of my choice pieces from Etsy...all unique, all handmade. Click on the captions for a link back to the artisan and online shop. Enjoy!
